Amid reports indicating that TENCENT has established an e-commerce product department to advance WeChat's transaction model, WEIMOB INC (02013.HK) was hyped up 20.5%, on a half-day turnover of over HKD1 billion. Among other tech stocks, XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) rose 1% and 1.8%, respectively, while KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), BIDU-SW (09888.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) fell 1.5-2.2%. JD-SW (09618.HK) faltered 3.6%. TME-SW (01698.HK) surged 8.9% at midday. XD INC (02400.HK) ballooned 6.5%. JD HEALTH (06618.HK) and GDS-SW (09698.HK) waned 2.6% and 3.5%. PA GOODDOCTOR (01833.HK) sank 5.4%. Chip stock SMIC (00981.HK) edged down 0.6%. PC manufacturer LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) eroded 2.3%. In the automotive sector, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) rallied 3.5% to HKD429.2. It once reached a new intraday high of HKD431.2. GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) also grew 2.4% to HKD19.6.
