Former Tesla's dexterous hand team member, Lu Zeyu, joined XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), boosting its share price by 2.5% to $41.1. For other techs, BABA-W (09988.HK) cascaded 2.7%, while TENCENT (00700.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) lost 1.3% and 1.6%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) slid 0.2-0.4%, while JD-SW (09618.HK) lifted 1.2%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) picked up 0.2% as its quarterly results are set to be released after market close tomorrow (28th). Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) faded 0.7% and 0.3%, while handset-related stocks COWELL (01415.HK) and Q TECH (01478.HK) leaped 4.1% and 2%. Some consumers prospered, with POP MART (09992.HK) swelling 6.8%, making it the largest gainer among blue chips. BLOKS (00325.HK) escalated 7.5%, while MAO GEPING (01318.HK) and LAOPU GOLD (06181.HK) mounted 3.6% and 4.4%. Casinos SANDS CHINA LTD (01928.HK) and MGM CHINA (02282.HK) jumped up 3.4% and 2.6%, while sportswear stock LI NING (02331.HK) waned 2.7%. Beverage stock VITASOY INT'L (00345.HK) shed 3.1% after brokers lowered their target prices post-results.
